“A Day in a Garden”©️ May 28, 2026
Take me to the garden
Please, May I go to the garden
I want to go to the garden
to breathe
to escape
To live
to dance
around and around
To stand still in peace
As life makes me dizzy
To adore the bees and the butterflies
To feel my heartbeat rise
To watch the sunflowers climb
towards the sun, I too stand tall
with my face to the light
Eyes closed, basking in delight
Let me lay amongst the grass
and the wildflower fields
Let me treasure the delicacy
Of the botanical hills
Laying amongst towers of stems
and mass hues
Tenderness brushing my face
Smiles anew
Take me to the garden
Where the quiet reigns once more
I want to go to the garden
To greet memories
I implore
deep down each day
Lead me to the garden
May I frolic, May I sway
To internal melodies
May I embrace the breeze
and capture the moments
Smell the honeysuckles
Breathe in breathe in
Breathe out
Let me gravitate towards euphoria
While walking through the garden
My feet connected to roots of love
I am one
I belong here
Close the gate
I never want to leave
Thoughts of leaving brings me sorrow
Thoughts of my return brings me joy
Gathering fallen petals as I descend
Never taking a life away from home
I will not look back
As I look forward to reuniting
Until next time, my love
Upon request
